Greetings and Welcome to My Web Site

This page and internet domain are personal web site of Mike Vermeulen. I live and work in Fort Collins, Colorado. I work for HP as an R&D Project Manager in HP's Unix organization. Among my interests is bicycle touring, see fietstocht.com for a description of some of my tours.

History

I was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands. I grew up and attended primary schools in Boulder, Colorado and Longmont, Colorado. I graduated from MIT in 1986 with a MSCS and BSCS. While at school, I lived at Epsilon Theta Fraternity in sunny residential Brookline, Massachusetts. After graduation, I started work with Hewlett-Packard in Fort Collins, Colorado. I worked there until 1993, when I moved to Chelmsford, Massachusetts. In the summer of 1997, I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and then in 2002 back to Fort Collins.
