October 22nd, Memorial...translation help anyone?

(some stupid clods decided to deface this monument)

Translation courtesy of Miss Ayako Watanabe by way of Frank Sibl: This memorial was erected in memory of tragic death of four motorsportlovers, participants in Cannon Ball Run in the Northern Territory. Official Keith (Slim) Alan Pritchard and Timothy Linkletter and competitors Akihiro Kawadachi and Ken Okano who passed way on Tuesday, 24th May 1994. We shall remember them.
